Labor Day Weekend BFCS Ride Schedule - September 1 & 2 - Monday Labor Day Ride to Amelia

Sunday There are Two Ride Options.
1 - 7:00 AM Open Road Ride
2 - 8:00 AM Traditional Lodge Ride

Currently there are two ride options on Sunday for the BFSC Sunday riders until the end of September. Several of the regular Sunday riders have joined the Open Road bike store ride for a little faster steady pace and longer distance ride. So for the short term there will be an inconsistent number of riders showing up for the 8:00 Lodge ride.  So based on the ride description listed below select the ride that best fits your fitness level.

Sunday - 8:00 AM Road Ride Leaving from the Lodge – 40 - 60 miles
  • Group Ride - Ride Pace = 19 – 22 MPH.
Remember this is a GROUP ride. 
  • This means a NO drop Ride and we all stop for Flats/Mechanical issues.
We will regroup when necessary for those losing contact with the group.
We have been trying to keep everyone together back to the Palm Valley Bridge,
 so that everyone finishes the ride together.

Sunday - 7:00 AM Road Ride Leaving from the Open Road bike Store parking lot.
  • This is a fast steady pace with 1 to 2 stops.
  • This group will not wait on slower riders or flats/mechanical issues
  • Ride Distance - 80 miles
  • Group Ride Pace = 20 - 22 MPH with with some 23/24 MPH continues pace
  • There will be a Ride Marshall (Sheriff)
  • Two Bail Out Spots (if you want to go short)
  • 1- US 1 (Gate) & Valley Ridge Parkway
  • 2 - Shell Station at World Golf Village
  • Route continues past WGV/Hwy 16/Hwy 16A/Longleaf Pine/Russell Sampson/210 & I95/US1/back thru Nocatee Spoke 2
Monday - Labor Day - 7:30 AM at the Lodge - Ride to Amelia Island 

Wear your Beaches First Street Cycling Ride Kit
70 miles round trip from the Lodge, Approximately - 50/55 miles from Rag Time. 
We will ride North on PVB, Right onto Duval Dr, right on First Street, and left on Plaza to A1A to the Ferry. 
We will pass Rag Time in Atlantic Beach around 8:00 AM.
Catch the 8:30 Ferry - $1.00 Each Way. 
We will catch the returning 10:45 AM Ferry. 
This is a group ride; we try to keep the group together. 
Ride Pace = 19 – 22 MPH

ALL RIDE MILEAGE IS BASED on from the starting location: The Lodge and back to The Lodge

Ride Route Description: Group 1 or FAST/Front Group

From Entering Nocatee from Palm Valley Road (Old bumpy 210),
Right at Light onto Crosswater Parkway which turns into Valley Ridge Parkway (Spoke 1),
Loop around (Spoke 1) (NO U-TURN) under Nocatee Parkway Overpass,
Left at 2nd Light onto the West end of Palm Valley Road (Old 210),
Down Palm Valley Road (Old 210) until T into Preservation Trail (Spoke 2),
Right onto Preservation Trail (Spoke 2) down to the Nocatee Roundabout,
Right onto Crosswater Parkway (Spoke 3); 180 degree U-Turn at end of Spoke 3,
At Nocatee Roundabout, Left onto Preservation Trail (Spoke 2),
At End of Preservation Trail (Spoke 2) 180 degree U-Turn back to Nocatee Roundabout,
At Roundabout, Right onto Crosswater Parkway (Spoke 3), U-Turn.
At Nocatee Roundabout, Left onto Preservation Trail (Spoke 2),

Beaches First Street Cycling is working on ordering new 2013 water bottles printed with our logo. 
We will be ordering 21 oz. CamelBak Podium Chill water bottles.

Cost is $9.00 per water bottle.
