Beaches First Street Cycling’s Fall Weekly Ride Schedule

Tuesday Night Guana – 6:00 PM – Meet under Palm Valley 210 Bridge
We are riding a variety of bikes: mountain, urban assault and cyclocross bikes.
Lights are required. This is an out and back 20+ miles course, so if you get dropped, you will be picked back up on the faster group’s return.

Tuesday/Thursday 6:30 AM morning rides from the PV Inn & Club. Continue to check this BFSC Blog and Facebook page for time changes as sunrise continues to be later rising.

Tuesday/Thursday 9:00 AM morning ride leaving from the Lodge: This is a group ride with a ride pace of 19/24 MPH. There are 2 routes – Tuesday is Nocatee loops and Thursday is down A1A to Vilano Bridge and back. Both routes are approximately 50 miles.

Twilight Begins/Sunrise = 6:43 / 7:08 AM
Sunset / Twilight Ends =5:26 / 5:51 PM

The Beaches Weekend weather forecast at Saturday’s start time is 61 F, 10 mph ENE wind, and Cloudy. On Sunday the forecast is at start time forecast being Cloudy at 64 F, 8 mph ENE wind.

Saturday – 8:00 AM @ the Lodge – 40 miles =
There are Two Groups on Saturday

The BFSC splits into 2 groups base on Ride Pace either at the PV Bridge
Or at the Traffic Light at Crosswater Parkway & Old 210
Group 1 = Ride Pace 25+ MPH with max speed 30+
Group 2 = Ride Pace 19 – 25 MPH

Group 1 will make Right at Crosswater Parkway. 
Group 2 will make a Left at Crosswater Parkway

With the BFSC Holiday Party Saturday night we have move the ride start time back to 9:00 AM. There is an Optional Mountain Bike Ride 9:00 AM.

Sunday – 9:00 AM @ Hanna Park – Front Parking Lot
$1.00 Entrance Fee
Due to the BFSC Saturday night party there is group meeting Sunday for an optional mountain bike ride.
We ride as a semi group, which means you ride your pace and we will regroup at the trailheads or major intersection in the trails.


Sunday - 9:00 AM Road Ride Leaving from the Lodge – 50 - 65 miles
Group Ride Ride Pace = 19 – 22 MPH.
Remember this is a GROUP ride. This means a NO drop Ride and we all stop for Flats/Mechanical issues.
We will regroup when necessary for those losing contact with the group.
We have been trying to keep everyone together back to the Palm Valley Bridge,
 so that everyone finishes the ride together.

ALL RIDE MILEAGE IS BASED on from the starting location: The Lodge and back to The Lodge

Directions to Robert Hudson’s Home: South on A1A to Mickler: Right/West on Mickler: First Left onto Neck Road. First Left into River Marsh. Follow road (it Loops) all the way to the back to 141 River Marsh. The GATE will be Open.

***PLEASE be respectful of Robert’s neighbor’s driveways when Parking***
and DO NOT BLOCK!!!

This year BFSC is going to work with the Beaches BEAM organization to donate kids bikes for Christmas. They are trying to supply Christmas gifts for needy families and they have over 900 kids on their list.

Please bring your $$ donation or a check (Make Checks Payable: to Beaches First Street Cycling). We will collect the money and buy kids bikes for BEAM. If you would like to help purchase the bikes and/or build up the bikes, please let us know when donating your money.

BFSC Sunday Nov 25 Ride Start Time Update: Start Time 9:00 AM

Due to the forecast cold Sunday morning temperature, we have moved the road bike ride start time to 9:00 AM.

Also there is an optional group mountain bike ride at 8:15 AM at Hanna Park.

Thursday – November 22
7:15 AM – Champion Bike Shop Thanksgiving Day Ride
Leaves from Atlantic Beach Police Dept./Jack Russell Park
Off Road Bike – Ride across Ferry and a Loop around Fort George Island
Road Bike – North on A1A to Nassau Bridge and return.

7:30 AM – Leah Mantle is leading a Century from the Lodge.
Route down A1A to St Augustine, west though St Johns County, back by the way of World Golf Village. There are several spots where you can turn back early if you do not have the time for 100 miles.

Friday – November 23
8:30 AM – BFSC Group Road Bike Ride from the Lodge – 45 Miles
Sunday Group ride pace with the route being loops in Nocatee
