2013 BFSC Annual Holiday Event benefiting B.E.A.M. last Saturday, November 22.





We had a Great & Fun time at the Beaches First Street Cycling Fundraising Event to raise money to buy kids’ bikes for B.E.A.M. this past Saturday, November 22.

We raised over $6000!!!!!!!

Need Raffle Prizes - Holiday Fundraising Benefit for B.E.A.M. 2013


Beaches First Street Cycling is looking for prizes to raffle off at the Annual Holiday Fundraising Benefit for B.E.A.M. on November 23 party to purchase bikes.

Can YOU contribute/donate a raffle prize?

Last year 2012 BFSC raised approximately $2500 and donated approximately 50 bikes to B.E.A.M. for their Holiday Gift Program.

For 2013 BFSC goal is to raise a minimum of $3500 for B.E.A.M.'s December 16 Holiday Gift Program. 

B.E.A.M. (Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry) - BEAM’s mission is to keep families in their homes and help them become self-sufficient.

Ever Christmas Holiday they sponsor a Holiday Gift Program, so that, kids that might not receive a Christmas gift is able to receive something. For 2013, B.E.A.M. has over 1200 family registered to participate in their Holiday Gift Program.



BFSC had an additional idea to help raise money to meet our $3500 goal, beside your contribution at the door, we are going to have a raffle at the BFSC Fund Raising Party.

We are asking You, if you or your business/company can donate some type of prize for the raffle.
We are planning on selling raffle tickets for prizes at the party.
We are also exploring for the more valuable prizes, maybe, having a silent or live auctions at our party.

B.E.A.M. Is a 501(3)c chartable corporation.
Beaches First Street Cycling is a 501c(7) non profit club corporation.

2013 Annual Holiday Fundraising Benefit for B.E.A.M.

Where: 141 River Marsh Dr., Ponte Vedra, FL 32082

When: Saturday, November 23, 2013, 6:30 til…

Why: Raise at least $3,500 to buy bikes for children served by B.E.A.M. for Christmas.

How: A minimum of $25 per person donation is requested, but more would be greatly appreciated to help achieve our goal of over $3,500. Please bring cash or a check made out to Beaches First Street Cycling. There will be a raffle of various donated items and services. So, bring extra cash!

Bike Assembly: The Bike Build will take place on Thursday, December 12, 2013. Bring your bike stand and tool kit to help assemble the bikes!

Final Notes: We are very fortunate to have not only a talented and competitive pool of cyclists, but also a talented and competitive pool of chefs. Please message or email Rebekah Hope with the dish you would like to contribute.

BFSC Sunday November 10 Ride Options

BFSC Ride Options for Sunday, November 10, 2013


  1. 7:30 AM - Open Road Road Ride leaves from Open Road Beach store parking lot
      1. 75 miles - Ride Pace 20/23 mph
  2. 8:00 AM - Leaves from the Lodge - A majority of the 8:00 rider are now riding the 7:30  Open Road Ride. There will be an inconsistent number of riders showing up for this 8:00 ride. 
      1. 40 - 55 miles - Ride Pace 18/21 mph
  3. 8:30 - Gauna Road Mountain Bike Ride - Leaves from UNDER the Palm Valley bridge on Roscoe Blvd. Enter the North Guana Wild Life Management gate.
      1. 30 miles - Mountain bike pace
      2. This is a non technical ride on a dirt road with a short non technical trail ride in the state park.

BFSC 6:30 AM Morning Road Bike Ride Returns to 6:30 AM.

With the ending of Daylight Saving Time, the BFSC's 6:30 AM Tuesday and Thursday morning ride will go back to the normal start time of 6:30 AM Tuesday, November 5.

Please meet by 6:30 AM at the Ponte Vedra Club & Inn and be ready to roll shortly after that. 

Sunrise is now at 6:43 AM so we will have plenty of light by the time we get to Micklers.

The BFSC splits into 2 groups base on Ride Pace @ A1A & Mickler's.
Group 1 = Ride Pace 25+ MPH with max speed 30+
Group 2 = Ride Pace 18 – 22 MPH

Group 1 will make Right at Crosswater Parkway. 
Group 2 will make a Left at Crosswater Parkway.

Right at Light onto Crosswater Parkway which turns into Valley Ridge Parkway (Spoke 1),
Loop around (Spoke 1) (NO U-TURN) under Nocatee Parkway Overpass,
Left at 2nd Light onto the West end of Palm Valley Road (Old 210),
Down Palm Valley Road (Old 210) until T into Preservation Trail (Spoke 2),
Right onto Preservation Trail (Spoke 2) down to the Nocatee Roundabout,
Right onto Crosswater Parkway (Spoke 3); 180 degree U-Turn at end of Spoke 3,
At Nocatee Roundabout, Left onto Preservation Trail (Spoke 2),
At End of Preservation Trail (Spoke 2) 180 degree U-Turn back to Nocatee Roundabout,

Wear your Beaches First Street Cycling Ride Kit
70 miles round trip from the Lodge, Approximately - 50/55 miles from Rag Time. 
We will ride North on PVB, Right onto Duval Dr, right on First Street, and left on Plaza to A1A to the Ferry. 
We will pass Rag Time in Atlantic Beach around 8:00 AM.
Catch the 8:30 Ferry - $1.00 Each Way. 
We will catch the returning 10:45 AM Ferry. 
This is a group ride; we try to keep the group together. 
Ride Pace = 19 – 22 MPH

ALL RIDE MILEAGE IS BASED on from the starting location: The Lodge and back to The Lodge
