BFSC Ride Schedule August 25 & 26 - Save the Ferry Fest on Saturday

Save The Ferry Big Party Fest - Saturday, August 25 - 1:00 PM till 9:00 PM

We the Beaches First Street Cycling group should show our support for Saving the Ferry. Our Rides to Amelia Island will end if the Ferry closes.
Let’s plan as a group to show up on Saturday, maybe after 5:00 for a big street party.
Save the Ferry organization is advertising food trucks and music.
It will be a fun time and we can show our support!!

Beaches Weekend Weather Forecast (observed at Mayport Naval Air Station)

The Beaches Weekend weather forecast is a much nicer and drier weekend with low chances of rain and lower humidity. At Saturday’s start time 76F, 8 mph NE wind, and Partly Cloudy with 10% chance of rain. On Sunday the forecast at the start time is Partly Cloudy at 80 F, 11 mph ENE wind and 10% chance of rain.

Looks like we are now out of the “cone of concern” for Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaac. It’s now forecast heading further west into the Gulf and tracking toward Mobile AL.
