Tuesday/Thursday Evening Road Bike Ride - Route Change - Starting Tuesday March 22

The Tuesday/Thursday Evening bike ride has decided to return to the original warm up route. This ride starts at the County Line on Ponte Vedra Blvd and Duval Drive.

Beginning this Tuesday March 22 the warm up route will go through the neighbor hood (the cool down route backwards) right on to San Juan from PVB, cross Salano Road, south on Le Master to left onto Corona Road, back right onto PVB.

This is a race place 25+ MPH ride.

A Second slower group has also formed on Tuesday/Thursday night.

This group ride pace's is 20 - 25 MPH.

The Second Group starts out with the faster group.

At A1A and PVB/Mickler's Road this group goes South on A1A until the First or Second Beach Access parking lot (depending on the remaining daylight) and returns backs. This group may regroup at Mickler's Beach Access depending on the number of riders. If you loose contact with the front group going down PVB go South on A1A until you meet the Second group returning North on A1A.

With the Daylight Saving Time change last Sunday, there is now enough daylight to start the Tuesday/Thursday Evening road bike rides.

Tuesday/Thursday Evening = 30 miles

Meets: County Line @ Ponte Vedra Blvd and Duval Drive.

Time: 6:30 PM

Speed: This is a fast pace 25+MPH ride...Racing speed and conditions.

Due to sunset time for the next few weeks the ride distance will be shorter.

Sunset: 7:34PM

Twilight Ends: 7:57PM

Tuesday/Thursday Evening Ride Start Today

The Tuesday/Thursday Evening road bike rides start today Tuesday March 16, 2010.

The ride leaves at 6:30 PM from the County Line.

(Ponte Vedra Blvd/Duval Drive/

San Juan at the county line for St Johns and Duval County)

This is a fast pace ride 25+ MPH, down PVB to Mickler's to 210 over the Palm Valley Bridge for a loop through Nocatee. The loop through Nocatee will progressively become longer depending on timing of Sunset.

Generally there is a second group that forms to ride at a slower pace 20 - 25 MPH. This group goes south on A1A to one of the beach parking lot and turns around.

Tuesday/Thursday Evening Ride Schedule - Time Change

The Tuesday/Thursday Evening bike rides will have a new start time this Tuesday, September 29 due to darkness coming earlier now.

New Start Time is 6:00 PM at the County Line - PV Boulevard and Duval Drive.

Last Tuesday, the 5-6 Riders that completed the ride together decided, that due to darkness and safety, to start tomorrow’s (Tuesday, September 29) ride at 6:00pm from the county line. So Walter, Tom, Juan, myself and a few others hope you can make the new time.
